Animal Chiropractic

Just like humans, animals have a spine that needs to be cared for. Our certified animal chiropractor, Dr. Montano, provides chiropractic care for canines to ensure that they are feeling and functioning at their absolute best. Some of the signs and symptoms that may indicate that your four-legged family member needs a chiropractic adjustment include:

• Neck, back, jaw and tail pain                   • Trouble getting up and down or jumping

• Muscle tension                                         • Disc injuries

• Limping and extremity injuries               • Sports/performance issues and injuries

• Change in behavior                                  • Slowing down with age

Dr. Montano is a Doctor of Chiropractic, licensed in the care of humans and certified in animal chiropractic by the Animal Chiropractic Certification Commission (ACCC) of the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA).

Her background also includes an undergraduate degree in Animal Science as well as nearly 10 years of experience working in small animal clinics throughout my undergraduate and post graduate educations.  She worked as a veterinary technician during that time which gave her hands on training that has helped to prepare her in the handling of animals in my current role. Dr. Montano is not a veterinarian; therefore, she cannot and does not take responsibility for the primary care of any animal. She does not diagnose animals nor does she discuss nutrition with the animal’s owner. Chiropractic care is never intended to replace traditional veterinary care, but is considered a complimentary therapy to be used in conjunction with a veterinarian’s care.
